On Tuesday, a special court in Bengaluru sentenced a doctor from Bhatkal to life imprisonment, while two of his associates received 10-year prison terms for their involvement in terror-related activities. This included a plot to carry out serial blasts ahead of then-US President Barack Obama's visit to India in January 2015.
